Join Kerry Burkheimer and the entire CF Burkheimer crew at the

2009 Sandy River Spey Clave

The 9th annual Sandy River Spey Clave is scheduled for May 15, 16 and 17th 2009, and it promises to be another exciting event filled with casting, testing, and learning.

We look forward to this gathering every spring, and we’ll be there again this year with a big lineup of rods for people to demo. We’re particulary excited this year to showcase some of our newest two handers; like the 7134-4, the 9135-4, and the 7127-4. And as always, we’ll have a few brand-spankin’ new prototype rods for you to wiggle and cast and give us your feedback.

There will be some world class presentations again this year, and four members of the CF Burkheimer family will be involved. Whitney Gould will be leading the charge during Ladies Day with an informative program on Friday, May 15th at 1:30pm. Brian Styskal and Nate Koenigskncht will be presenting at 2:30pm on Saturday the 16th. And Tom Larimer will demonstrate at 11:00am on Sunday the 17th.

This is an exceptional weekend and a unique opportunity to test cast rods and lines and chat with dudes like us! And remember, Kerry likes Scotch… single malt, Islay, straight from the bottle.

I took three rods in case I didn’t like the 9135-4 or broke a rod, but the other rods never got used as the 9135-4 was a dream. It handled the wind and heavy sink tips better than I expected and the most amazing thing I found was that while it had the beef to control the larger fish up to 21 lbs. the tip was sensitive enough to feel the slightest take and make even the small 2 lb. fish a lot of fun to fight. — Peter Laskier
