We’re excited to introduce Rick Hafele as a new member of CF Burkheimer’s Pro Staff team. If you fish for trout you likely already know Rick from his books, instructional DVD’s, and magazine articles. Rick is a “bug” guy, which is putting it mildly. He’s a professional biologist with a Master’s degree in aquatic entomology, and has been teaching and writing about fly fishing and how to interpret important hatches for over 30 years. He’s been at it long enough that his earliest works – The Complete Book of Western Hatches (co-authored with Dave Hughes) and the video Anatomy of a Trout Stream – are now considered classics. His more recent works include books like Nymph Fishing Rivers and Streams and DVD’s such as Advanced Nymph Fishing and Fly Fishing Large Western Rivers.
